Church continues as it utilises technology including online streaming

Following Government and Public Health advice regarding the COVID-19, all of Elim's church services and gatherings have been suspended, but that hasn't stopped the church from functioning. It just looks a little different.

With people in self-isolation and the new restrictions on gathering together, the coronavirus has rapdily changed how society functions, with some people required to stay home for extended periods of time.

For a season, these restrictions will change what church looks like, but God's people still have an opportunity to reach others, sharing the faith that we each have in Christ. We can continue to do this in a number of ways, one of which includes utilising video and live streaming to reach others. Some churches already stream their services each week, while others are discovering how to do it for the first time by just using a smartphone.

This Sunday, church will look different. Where people have access to the internet, some communities will meet online. Others may require a telephone call as their point of connection with someone. But not every church will be able to provide a video or live streamed service, so we've listed some of the churches around the country that will stream their services this weekend. If you are unable to tune in live you can watch the videos below where Hayley Barrett shares her message from a recent Elim Leaders Summit.

Please note that the following times may change and some churches may switch to a single live service rather than hosting multiple services throughout the day. Also, some churches are trying different service formats out with some of their meetings as they seek to reach those who do not usually attend a church service. Many of the streams are also available to watch after the broadcast.
