“Transform circumstances into a blessing”

Daniel Habtey is originally from Eritrea one of the most persecuted countries in Africa. His mother died when he was just 4 months old and further tragedy followed when his father died when he was 5 years old. His childhood was miserable and traumatizing and as a result he was forced to go to a local boarding school run by Swiss nationals. However, his life changed from darkness into a wonderful life. He is living now in Huddersfield with his wife Senayit Alem and three children ( Abseri 17 F, Miellaher 15 F and Adoniram 12 M). Daniel’s transformational and popular story is shared in the UK & European parliament, churches in the UK, BBC media, high schools, and with African government officials and it has been inspirational for many.

Daniel is an ordained minister and graduated in Masters in Missional Leadership. Furthermore, he has been ministering since 1996 in Eritrea, Sudan, and in the UK. He is also a song writer and has recorded three albums in Tigrinya Eritrean language.

Daniel’s vision is to build Eritrean diaspora and their second generation to be a blessing for their country and beyond.

He has travelled to Ethiopia where there is a big refugee camp, Israel, Switzerland and other European countries. He has set up an online Leadership Academy, which is currently training 120 students from 32 countries and 5 continents. Daniel was recently commissioned by Elim Missions as an Elim Missionary and works with CAM international to impact Eritrean diaspora and their second generation for the future of Eritrea.
